Not receiving notification from text messages, calls, or apps

Not getting notified when new texts come in? Caller ID doesn’t show up to let you accept or reject incoming calls? Below are a few steps you can try on your Pinwheel phone to make sure you never miss another text or call again!

1. Make sure that the phone is not on Silent or Vibrate mode.

➧ Slim 2 (Samsung A01) / Plus 1 (Samsung A32) / Plus 2 (Samsung A13)

  1. Swipe up and open the Pinwheel Settings app.
  2. Open up System Settings.
  3. Open Sounds and Vibration.
  4. Make sure that Sound is enabled (other choices for this is Vibrate or Mute).

➧ Slim 3, 4, & 5 (BLU G50, G50 Plus, G91S) / Rugged 2 & 3 (Armor X8, Armor X10)

  1. Swipe up and open the Pinwheel Settings app.
  2. Open up System Settings.
  3. Open Sound and make sure that Media volume, Call volume, and Ring volume is not set to minimum.

 

2. Make sure Do Not Disturb (DND) is turned Off.

➧ Slim 2 (Samsung A01) / Plus 1 (Samsung A32) / Plus 2 (Samsung A13)

  1. Swipe up and open the Pinwheel Settings app.
  2. Open up System Settings.
  3. Open Sounds and Vibration and go to Notifications.
  4. Select Do Not Disturb and make sure it is turned Off.

➧ Slim 3, 4, & 5 (BLU G50, G50 Plus, G91S) / Rugged 2 & 3 (Armor X8, Armor X10)

  1. Swipe up and open the Pinwheel Settings app.
  2. Open up System Settings.
  3. Open Sound and make sure that Do Not Disturb is Off.

 

3. Reset the app preferences.*

➧ Slim 2 (Samsung A01) / Plus 1 (Samsung A32) / Plus 2 (Samsung A13)

  1. Swipe up and open the Pinwheel Settings app.
  2. Open up System Settings.
  3. Open Apps and tap the 3 dots (・・・) at the upper right.
  4. Select Reset app preferences, then Reset.

➧ Slim 3, 4, & 5 (BLU G50, G50 Plus, G91S) / Rugged 2 & 3 (Armor X8, Armor X10)

  1. Swipe up and open the Pinwheel Settings app.
  2. Open up System Settings.
  3. Scroll down and open Apps & Notification.
  4. Tap on See all XX apps and tap the 3 dots (・・・) located at the top-right.
  5. Select Reset app preferences, then Reset.

*Resetting app preferences will also reset all the other apps’ settings on the phone but will not delete any data.

 

What if the issue only affects call notifications?

➧ Slim 3 and 4

  1. Swipe up and open the Pinwheel Settings app.
  2. Open up System Settings.
  3. Locate and open System.
  4. Go to Gestures.
  5. Toggle off Prevent Ringing.

➧ Rugged 2 and 3, Slim 5

  1. Swipe up and open the Pinwheel Settings app.
  2. Open up System Settings.
  3. Locate and open Sound.
  4. Select and open Shortcut to Prevent Ringing and toggle it off. (If it’s already off, turn it on then turn it back off)
