App Pre-configuration guide

In this page, we will show you how to pre-configure specific third-party apps in order to access features that are normally blocked by Pinwheel’s security settings. Please note that you’ll need to have your Pinwheel phone in hand in order to follow these steps.

DISCLAIMER: This process will bypass Pinwheel's security system in order to allow these functions to work. Make sure to not share these steps with your child.

1. Swipe up from the home screen, and access your apps list. Locate the Pinwheel Settings app, and open it.
2. Unlock Parental Controls: Tap the lock icon at the upper right of the screen and enter your Caregiver login credentials.
3. Select Google login and wait until the Sign in page shows up. This is after Google is finished loading past the "Checking info" page. Make sure to not sign in, as we only need to load the sign in page. (see image)
4. Return to the Home Screen.
5. Proceed to the specified app.

Please note that access through these functions will only be available for 5 minutes before timing out. If the feature you are trying to access suddenly becomes unavailable, you’ll need to redo all of these steps.
