We all know that passwords are just too hard to remember sometimes! Here are the steps to help you reset or update your passwords, whether it’s your own as a parent or your child’s.
👋 Just a friendly reminder on how to keep your passwords secure!
- The longer, the stronger! Use more than ten characters for your password. You may use phrases if you must, as long as you can easily recall them.
- Complexity is a necessity. Combining uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols will be your best defense against hackers. Making it more complex will make it more secure.
- Everything should be Unique. We know setting up one password for all your accounts might be tempting, but doing so is definitely not worth the risk! Worst case scenario, if someone gets ahold of your password, they could easily access all your other accounts.
- Lastly, use one you’ll easily remember so we can avoid the steps above! If you need to write it down, do it. Just make sure to save your passwords somewhere secure but accessible.

❓ Other issues and concerns? We got you!
“I didn’t receive the verification code in my email!”
Don’t panic! You first need to check your spam messages or “All Mail.” If you still can’t find it, there is a possibility that you might have used or sent it to a different email address.
“I keep resetting the password, but it is still incorrect.”
Passwords are case-sensitive. Make sure it’s typed in properly, without any spaces, and exactly as you typed it the first time.
“I can’t unlock the Parental Control settings using the password I created.”
Ensure that the phone is in sync with your Caregiver Portal, go to the Pinwheel Settings on your child’s phone, and hit ‘Reload Pinwheel.’ If this does not solve the issues, try logging in using your username or your email. You may also need to be mindful of the spaces at the end of your password and/or username. Even the tiny things matter!
“It says I’m logged in using my child account.”
Logging in using your Caregiver Account username (not email) is a quick and easy way to get around this error.
“Can I change my child’s username or account name?”
Child account names and usernames cannot be changed after you create them, so whatever you choose, make sure it's something you really like!
